Thank you for helping NC State students save a lot on textbooks!

The crowdfunding campaign for the Libraries’ Alt-Textbook Program exceeded its $5000 goal by February 17. Over 60 donors gave over $6100 to support the program, which awards grants to faculty to adopt, adapt, or create free or low-cost alternatives to expensive textbooks.

How effective has Alt-Textbook been at saving students from skyrocketing textbook costs? In its 10 years of existence, Alt-Textbook has saved students $10.7 million in 84 unique projects.

"As a result of your support, we can extend the resources given to faculty, lifting the burden of textbook cost on students, amplifying the innovation and creativity that keeps the NC State education truly unique. Thank you!" says Tim Edelen, the Libraries' Associate Director of Development.
